Tickets for the film about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes are selling out after a remarkable $15 million opening weekend in the US. The documentary, titled You Can See Everything, is generating significant buzz, with many discussing its subject and sharing memes online.

Excitement in the UK

As the film is set to reach UK cinemas on 20 November, tickets have already been flying off the shelves. Clare Binns, the creative director of Picturehouse Cinemas, noted that the excitement surrounding the film is reminiscent of the response to Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, which became a global box-office phenomenon in 2023.

“

“People are hungry in a way that we haven’t really seen since then,” Binns said. “And for it to be a three-hour documentary, it’s bonkers.”

Tickets for the film went on sale at Picturehouse Central in London before its US opening, and the high demand has led the chain to add extra screenings. At the Ritzy in Brixton, the first screen had almost sold out, prompting the cinema to schedule a second showing.

“

“It’s fantastic, it proves again that there’s a different kind of audience coming to the cinema,” Binns added. “They came to see Backrooms, they came to see Obsession, they came to see NAZA.”

Strong Demand Across Cinemas

Cineworld has also reported strong demand for the documentary. Stuart Crane, its international vice-president of content, remarked on the remarkable speed and scale of demand. Initial screenings at Cineworld Leicester Square sold out shortly after tickets went on sale at around 40 cinemas on Sunday. The chain has since added more screenings at Leicester Square and expanded bookings to an additional 35 cinemas nationwide.
