Shoppers and vendors in Aspen, Colorado, were surprised by an unusual customer last weekend when a hungry bear wandered into a farmers' market, sampling fresh bread and pastries from various stalls.

On Saturday, onlookers quickly reached for their phones to capture the moment as the bear stretched up on its hind legs to dig into the baked goods. Witnesses reported that at one point, the bear even jumped onto a table to get better access to the pastries.
The bear, which was bulking up for winter hibernation, appeared as vendors were setting up their stalls, according to Joey Livingston, a spokesperson for Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW).
