The government of India has granted licenses to three companies, including Starlink, to provide satellite communication services in the country. On October 7, 2026, during the India Mobile Congress 2026, Lauren Dreyer, Vice President of Starlink Business Operations at SpaceX, stated that the company has tailored its operations to align with India's security and regulatory requirements.
