Nous Research, a startup known for developing the open-source Hermes agent, has successfully raised $90 million in a Series B funding round, achieving a valuation of $1.5 billion. This funding round was led by Robot Ventures, with notable participation from investors such as Nvidia, Union Square Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Samsung, and 1789 Capital, where Donald Trump Jr. is a partner.
Funding Overview
With this latest investment, Nous Research's total funding has now reached $158 million since its inception three years ago. The Hermes agent has gained significant popularity, being cloned over 24 million times and accounting for approximately 2.5% of global AI token usage, according to the company's estimates.
