A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the shooting death of a 12-year-old boy in Sydney's north last month. The incident occurred on September 21, 2026, at a unit on Fairway Drive, Norwest, after police received reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that the boy had sustained a gunshot wound to his face and neck. NSW Ambulance paramedics treated him before he was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
At the time of the incident, nine other individuals were present in the home but were not injured. Three men, all aged 18, were arrested shortly after the shooting. Two of them were released pending further inquiries, while the third was charged with concealing a serious indictable offence and remains before the courts.
