Teenager arrested after two teachers shot in French school

A ninth-grade student has been arrested after a principal and a teacher were shot at Lakanal middle school in Aubagne, near Marseille, on Monday morning. The student was detained "immediately" following the incident, according to Aubagne Mayor Jean-Pierre Squillari. Reports indicate that the suspect is 14 years old.

Fortunately, no children were harmed during the shooting. The injured teachers have been treated for injuries that are not life-threatening. Mayor Squillari confirmed that the incident is not believed to be related to ongoing protests regarding school conditions, as reported by BFMTV and Le Parisien.
