Photographs of the decomposed bodies of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies have been presented to the 15 jurors tasked with determining whether the two men were murdered. Beau Lamarre-Condon, a former police officer, has pleaded not guilty to the February 2024 murders of Baird, 26, and Davies, 29.

Trial Developments

The third week of Lamarre-Condon's double murder trial has shifted focus to how investigators discovered the remains in rural NSW. Retired crime scene officer Greg Moon, who coordinated the forensic sweep of the Greek monastery at Bungonia where the men’s bodies were found, continued his testimony on Thursday regarding the condition of the remains.

Most family members of Baird, a former TV presenter, and Davies, a Qantas flight attendant, have not attended court for the disturbing forensic evidence. Justice Natalie Adams cautioned jurors on Thursday that they would be shown confronting photos of decomposition.

Discovery of the Bodies

The bodies were located inside two surfboard or stand-up paddleboard bags, with the smaller bag containing one body zipped inside a larger one, according to Moon. He stated that the bodies were found one on top of the other, covered with rocks and small branches.
