For the second time in a week, the White House has unilaterally removed CNN from its assignment as the primary television pool representative covering Donald Trump. This decision comes after a district judge's ruling on September 16 that overturned the White House's ban on CNN and two other media organizations.
Recent Developments
On Saturday, CNN was excluded from pool duty aboard Air Force One. However, on Sunday, the White House published a pool assignment list that included CNN as the in-town pooler for Thursday’s activities, with the conservative network Real America’s Voice serving as the secondary pooler.
Abrupt Changes
On Wednesday night, the White House unexpectedly removed CNN from pool duty for the following day, leaving Real America’s Voice as the only pooler as the president travels to Texas and Oklahoma. Notably, the country’s largest broadcast and cable television news networks have not aired footage from Real America’s Voice, despite the network's efforts to promote its availability.
