A woman testified in Southwark Crown Court that Russell Brand raped her, stating he "didn’t stop even when she screamed out in pain." The alleged victim recounted her experience to her parents and friends shortly after the incident, expressing fear that she would not be believed if she reported it to the police.
Allegations Against Brand
The court heard that Brand faces multiple charges, including three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault, and one count of indecent assault involving six women over a span of ten years, starting from 1999. The 51-year-old comedian has denied all charges and pleaded not guilty.
Details of the Incident
The woman claims that the alleged rape occurred at Brand's London townhouse after he selected her from a crowd during one of his stand-up performances at the Hammersmith Apollo in early 2009. She stated that they initially engaged in consensual vaginal sex before Brand allegedly turned her over and raped her anally.
