The social media personality Braden Peters, known as Clavicular, pleaded not guilty on Thursday to charges of raping a 17-year-old girl at his family’s home in Chatham, Massachusetts. Peters, 20, is accused of providing the girl with alcohol until she was intoxicated and then sexually assaulting her during her visit in May 2025.
Allegations and Defense
Peters has denied the allegations through his legal team, asserting that the sexual encounter was consensual. He arrived at the Orleans, Massachusetts courthouse dressed in a dark suit, walking a barking dog on a leash. While entering the courthouse, he only spoke to his dog and ignored questions from reporters. During the brief arraignment, he maintained a neutral expression.
Peters has agreed to a $10,000 bail, surrendered his passport, and is prohibited from contacting or posting about the woman who has accused him of assault. Neither he nor his lawyers made any comments as they left the courthouse.
Background on Peters
This case adds to the legal troubles faced by Peters, who has amassed over a million followers on Instagram. He is known for his hours-long livestreams where he rates people's looks and discusses methods for improving appearance, including surgery and drug use. Earlier this year, he faced a misdemeanor battery charge in Florida after allegedly provoking a fight between two women and posting a video of the incident online, although that charge was later dropped. Additionally, he was sentenced to probation in a separate case for firing a gun in public after pleading no contest.
