Paramount announced on Tuesday that it has completed its $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, resulting in the formation of a new company called Skydance. This merger is one of the largest in history, combining two major streaming platforms, Paramount+ and HBO Max, along with networks such as CBS, CNN, MTV, TBS, Comedy Central, and Food Network.

With this merger, Skydance will gain control of significant franchises including:

- Game of Thrones
- DC Universe
- Yellowstone
The merger places one of the world's largest entertainment studios under the leadership of David Ellison. Just last year, Ellison completed the merger of Skydance Media with Paramount, significantly increasing his influence in Hollywood. The Ellison family is the largest shareholder of Skydance, supported by the wealth of Larry Ellison, David's father and co-founder of Oracle.
