Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery will operate under the name Skydance following the completion of their merger, as announced by Paramount CEO David Ellison on Friday. The merger, valued at approximately $110 billion, is expected to close on October 6.
Merger Details
The deal will merge two major Hollywood studios, Paramount+ and HBO Max, along with networks such as CBS, CNN, MTV, TBS, Comedy Central, and Food Network. Skydance will also take control of significant franchises including:
- The Lord of the Rings
- Game of Thrones
- DC Universe
- Yellowstone
