Ryan Anderson, the ex-husband of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, expressed his shock over the recent death of her former partner, Ken Urker, who was found dead in Louisiana on his 34th birthday. Anderson stated he would be there for Blanchard and her daughter if she needs support.
Details of Urker's Death
Urker was discovered unresponsive in his home in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, on Thursday. According to reports from the local sheriff’s office, his death is being treated as an apparent drug overdose. A report indicated that Blanchard’s half-brother and his wife noticed Urker lying unconscious through a window and subsequently called the authorities.
Upon entering the home, deputies found syringes and a spoon next to a brown powdery substance in the bathroom. Urker was found dead in bed, with a syringe and a handgun on a nightstand beside him.
Anderson's Reaction
During an appearance on The Sarah Fraser Show podcast, Anderson shared his disbelief upon hearing the news. "I was like, ‘No,’" he said. "My initial thought was shock, like, ‘Hmm, how’d that happen?’ … Shocked that he passed away."
He mentioned that his thoughts immediately went to Blanchard, 32, and their one-year-old daughter, Aurora. Despite having had negative exchanges with Urker in the past, Anderson reached out to Blanchard’s father, Rod, to express his condolences. "I said … ‘Tell Gypsy I’m sorry,’" he recounted. "Tell her I’m here for her if she needs me."
