Instinct, the AI agent valued at $10 billion following its latest funding round, is set to enhance user experience by expanding into group chats. Announced on Monday, this new feature allows users to add the AI agent to conversations with friends, facilitating various activities such as travel planning, event ticketing, fantasy leagues, carpools, and Thanksgiving preparations. Notably, this functionality will work even if friends do not have an Instinct account.
Competing in the AI Space
With this launch, Instinct aims to strengthen its position against competitors like Meta’s Muse, which currently lacks group chat capabilities. However, Meta’s older app, Meta AI, can be integrated into group chats across platforms like WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, and Facebook.
Starting today, early access users can incorporate Instinct into their group chats. Once added, the AI agent will assist the entire group. As Noah Shinn, founder of Instinct, noted:
