Prime Minister Andy Burnham welcomed President Volodymyr Zelensky to Downing Street on Wednesday, as the Ukrainian leader seeks to strengthen his European alliances five years into Russia's war on Ukraine.

Commitment to Support Ukraine

During the meeting, Burnham assured Zelensky that Britain "would forever stand by you" and announced that he was accelerating the delivery of air defenses to Ukraine. He previously informed MPs that he would work to "repair bridges" between Ukraine and the United States, emphasizing that Ukraine would not leave the discussions "empty-handed".
