The personal-agent space has become increasingly competitive, with major players like Meta’s Muse, OpenAI’s Dot, and Instinct leading the charge. However, Vinod Khosla is placing his bets on Shivani Poddar’s Wajo, emphasizing one crucial factor: trust.

Trust as a Core Principle

Khosla stated, "I think the most important thing in an agent, because it’s acting for you, is trust. You have to have trust in the agent, and I think compared to either Muse or Instinct, Wajo is the most trustworthy because it is architected to focus on trust and safety first, and some of the others are not." He expressed concerns about sharing personal data with large companies, saying, "Who wants to give all their data to Facebook? I don’t. And if I give my data to Facebook, I’m the product, not the product I am buying."

Features of Wajo's Fo Agent

Wajo’s Fo agent operates similarly to its competitors, functioning across iMessage and WhatsApp, and features a web interface that organizes tasks into categories such as:

  • Scheduling
  • Gifting
  • Life Admin

The agent can also make calls on behalf of users to book or cancel services. In initial tests, it successfully contacted an airline for upgrades but faced challenges when calling to remind a partner about feeding pets.
