Ukrainians are facing increased risks due to a lack of reliable warnings about incoming missile attacks, according to Serhii Beskrestnov, a key adviser to President Volodymyr Zelensky. In an interview with the BBC, Beskrestnov stated that "people have already died" because Kyiv is not receiving timely alerts from the United States regarding Russian strikes.

Concerns Over Intelligence Sharing

Beskrestnov emphasized the dangers of the current situation, saying, "It's dangerous... I think it's really very bad... People [have] already died." He also noted that restrictions on Ukraine's use of the Starlink internet network are still in effect. Despite these claims, the White House has stated that there have been no changes to intelligence sharing with Ukraine.

Ukraine first reported interruptions to US intelligence sharing last week amid tensions with the Trump administration over a controversial deal to import Russian oil. Many in Kyiv suspect that these issues are not coincidental.

On Monday morning, Zelensky took to social media to report two ballistic missile attacks on the capital, one of which occurred without warning and the other with minimal time for citizens to seek shelter. Earlier, in an interview with NBC, Zelensky mentioned that intelligence sharing had been restored after a three-day pause, expressing gratitude for the support: "Only [the] United States has this unique intelligence to tell our side when Russia uses ballistic missiles."

Incomplete Intelligence

However, Beskrestnov criticized the US for providing incomplete and inconsistent intelligence. He remarked, "This looks very strange. Sometimes we receive this information before the attack, another time we [do] not." He recounted an instance where they received a warning just one minute before an attack.
