A former Conservative election candidate, Jack Ross, has been suspended from the party after being filmed discussing the hiring of contract killers. The footage, captured by an undercover Al Jazeera reporter, shows Ross allegedly offering to "broker" the services of a far-right activist with links to paramilitary groups.

Allegations and Footage

Ross was recorded asking the undercover journalist, "What do you want done?" He then detailed various violent options available for hire, stating:

“

"They can just kick the fuck out of someone. That’s a certain amount. They can start cutting people’s faces up, that’s another amount. And they can stab someone. They can shoot someone. They can kill someone."

Police Scotland has announced they will review the documentary titled Contract Killers and the Far Right for any potential criminal activity.

Background on Jack Ross

Ross serves as the chief executive of Turning Point UK (TPUK), a group that emerged from the campaign founded by the late Charlie Kirk, a US Republican commentator. Last year, footage showed Ross meeting with Kemi Badenoch, the Tory leader, following Kirk's death.

A profile on the Bow Group website lists Ross as a research fellow, noting his experience advising MPs and candidates on political and digital strategy. He has been photographed with prominent figures such as Boris Johnson, James Cleverly, Jacob Rees-Mogg, and Liam Fox.

Criminal Connections

According to Al Jazeera, Ross introduced the undercover reporter to a violent criminal from Glasgow associated with the paramilitary Ulster Volunteer Force, who allegedly offers murder-for-hire services. The undercover journalist posed a fictitious scenario involving a family dispute over a deceased uncle's business, claiming it was threatened by a gang.
