An alleged teenage victim of Alan Jones has denied claims that his family attempted to deceive the broadcaster for financial gain during a tense cross-examination in a Sydney court.

Key Testimony

The youngest complainant in the trial, known as Complainant A, stated that he was 17 years old when Jones allegedly put his tongue inside his mouth and touched him inappropriately during a visit to the shock jock’s property in the Southern Highlands. He asserted, "That is a lie," when asked if he intended to extract as much financial assistance as possible from the former 2GB host.

Background of the Case

Complainant A began corresponding with Jones at the age of 13, seeking help after experiencing significant family hardships, including his father's departure and the death of a family member. He visited Jones's Fitzroy Falls farm several years later.

He is one of five men who allege that Jones indecently assaulted or sexually touched them between 2003 and 2020. Jones has pleaded not guilty to 21 charges of indecent assault and sexual touching.

Cross-Examination Details

During the cross-examination, Jones’s barrister, Gabrielle Bashir SC, questioned the extent of Complainant A's mother's involvement in the hundreds of emails sent to Jones between 2013 and 2016. While the witness acknowledged that his mother provided financial details and suggestions for the emails, he insisted that the correspondence was primarily his own work.
