The Married … with Children actor Christina Applegate has revealed that she does not have multiple sclerosis (MS) after all, a diagnosis she had previously shared with her fans. This surprising announcement came during an episode of her podcast MeSsy, recorded with fellow actor Jamie-Lynn Sigler and posted to YouTube on Tuesday.
Misdiagnosis Revelation
In an emotional moment, Applegate, 54, expressed her confusion and distress over the misdiagnosis. "I’m back at square one – that I don’t know what’s going on with me," she said, visibly upset. She recounted the moment she learned about the misdiagnosis during a visit to her doctor:
“"She came into my room and said, ‘Congratulations – you don’t have MS.’ I was not happy at all. I had every symptom of someone with MS. Every single one."
Despite the news, Applegate shared that her condition has not improved. "I haven’t gotten better. I still have to use wheelchairs when I go to the doctor’s office. I can’t walk from the car to the room. I’m still in this. Nothing magical happened when she said, ‘You don’t have MS.’ Nothing magical happened."
