Many businesses globally rely on consumer-facing chat apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, and iMessage for communication and document exchange. Guy Weiss is developing Zenzap, a private messenger with AI designed to enhance workplace communication while adhering to IT and security protocols.

Funding Details

Zenzap has successfully raised $44 million in funding from notable investors, including Bessemer, Lightspeed, and The Garage, alongside individual investors such as Wix President Nir Zohar and former GM of EY, Yoram Tietz. This fundraising marks a significant milestone for Weiss, who is raising capital for the first time in his career.

In 2012, Weiss bootstrapped StuccoMedia, an e-commerce marketing platform, which he sold to Market Group in 2015. After a stint as an investor, he founded Zenzap in 2022 after discussions with Bessemer partner Adam Fisher and his co-founders Noam Neumann and Jonatan Bien.

“

"I didn’t want to raise capital. The only thing I had to lose was my name, and I was super afraid to do a second round as a founder and become a failure," Weiss stated. "When I met Adam, I actually started my idea with my own capital."

The Vision for Zenzap

Weiss explained that Fisher persuaded him to pursue venture backing to scale Zenzap effectively. The goal is to create a messaging app suitable for various industries, including hospitality, construction, healthcare, and fast food.
