US investigating if missile hit Iran wedding, Vance says

The US military is currently investigating claims from Iran that a missile strike killed at least four people, including two children, at a wedding in southern Iran. This statement was made by Vice-President JD Vance during a briefing on Thursday.

The Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) reported that shrapnel from a missile struck a wedding ceremony at a home in Sirik on Tuesday. Following this incident, Esmaeil Baqaei, a spokesman for the Iranian foreign ministry, condemned the attack as a "war crime."

On the same day, US missiles were reportedly fired in response to attempted attacks by Iran on American forces. However, a spokesperson from US Central Command emphasized that the military "never targets civilians."
