Israeli forces have shot dead two Palestinian teenagers in the village of al-Mughayyir, amid ongoing violence and ethnic cleansing in the occupied West Bank. The victims, Khalil Abu Alia, 16, and Omar al-Nassan, 19, were killed shortly after sunset as settlers, escorted by Israeli police and military, entered the village to seize sheep from a Palestinian home.

Incident Details

According to residents and Israeli activists, the shootings occurred when a group of settlers attempted to take dozens of sheep. Khalil Abu Alia was shot in the neck while standing at the doorstep of his home, as reported by his English teacher, Waheed Abu Naim. Omar al-Nassan was shot twice, with the second bullet hitting him in the back. Both teenagers succumbed to their injuries before reaching the hospital.

A spokesperson for the Israeli military stated that the police, army, and settlers entered the village to reclaim sheep claimed by settlers. However, no evidence of ownership or investigation into the alleged theft was provided. The spokesperson claimed that the troops responded to stone-throwing from Palestinians by firing at key instigators.
