President Donald Trump was reportedly heckled at least nine times during a campaign event for Darline Graham at Clemson University in South Carolina on Wednesday. Multiple protesters were removed from the rally, including one who was apparently punched by a rally attendee, much to the delight of the president.

“

“That was great, man. Wow. Man, I loved that. I watched that,” Trump said. “That was incredible. Wow. That was unbelievable. Is everybody OK?”

Trump continued, asking, “Who’s the guy that threw that punch?” He compared the attendee to Evander Holyfield, the former heavyweight champion who was also present at the rally, stating, “You gotta give them credit. It takes courage to do that at a Trump rally. He got whacked.”

Context of the Rally

According to a pool report, the president was interrupted at least nine times by hecklers during the event. The crowd responded by chanting “USA” as security escorted the protesters out of the arena. One protester was followed by a rally attendee who appeared to slap the demonstrator on the head.
