Amid the devastating floods in Nepal, Indian Railways has implemented special arrangements for passengers returning from the affected areas. These measures aim to ensure that travelers can continue their journeys safely and without inconvenience.

Special Arrangements for Passengers

According to Saraswati Chandra, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of East Central Railway (ECR), 106 passengers traveled from Patna towards Maharashtra after returning from Nepal. They were accommodated on train number 17609 Patna-Purna Express, which had two additional Third AC (3A) coaches attached at Patna.

The Railway official stated that food, water, tea, and medical assistance have been arranged for the passengers during their journey. An additional ticket counter was opened overnight at Patna Junction to facilitate ticket purchases without inconvenience.
