Lord Jeffrey Archer, the former Conservative politician and acclaimed novelist, has passed away at the age of 86. According to his publisher, Harper Collins, Archer died peacefully at his home on Monday, between writing sessions.

Political Career

Archer served as a Conservative MP for five years and later held the position of deputy chairman of the party. He was made a life peer in 1992.
