The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced its second list of candidates for the Jharkhand Assembly elections on October 28, 2024. The party has nominated Gamliyel Hembrom to contest from the Barhait constituency and Vikash Mahato from the Tundi constituency.
Key Candidates
- Gamliyel Hembrom will face off against Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who is the chief of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and has held the Barhait seat since 2014.
- In Tundi, Vikash Mahato will compete against Mathura Prasad Mahato, the JMM candidate who won the 2019 assembly election with over 72,000 votes, defeating BJP's Vikram Pandey, who secured 46,000 votes.
