Elon Musk’s social network X announced on Wednesday that starting today, all U.S. creator payouts will be processed through X Money, the app’s new payments service. This change affects payouts from both X’s Original Content Rewards Program and creators’ subscriptions.
Instant Payments for Creators
According to an update shared on X, creators will now have access to their payouts immediately upon being sent. Previously, payments were processed every two weeks, with a minimum payout threshold of $30. The new system eliminates waiting periods tied to billing cycles.
“"Starting today, U.S. payouts for Original Content Rewards and Subscriptions will be paid through @XMoney. You'll have access to your payouts the moment they’re sent."
However, the announcement suggests that creators are required to use X Money, as there appear to be no alternative options for receiving payments. This marks a shift from the previous system powered by Stripe.
