The UK arm of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant empire reported losses last year despite achieving sales exceeding £100 million for the first time. The company, which operates 34 outlets including the Savoy Grill, Pétrus, and several Lucky Cat restaurants, narrowed its losses to £5.8 million from £9.4 million the previous year. Sales rose by 3% to nearly £101 million.

Business Context

Andy Wenlock, the chief executive of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, stated that the company faced a "challenging macro environment" globally but began 2026 with "strong momentum and clear priorities." The company's goals include:

  • Improving profitability
  • Maintaining disciplined investment in their owned estate
  • Accelerating international growth through experienced partners

Wenlock noted that trading was positively impacted by the airing of the Netflix documentary Being Gordon Ramsay in February and the opening of the group’s 100th restaurant at Bread Street Kitchen & Bar in Bishopsgate, London.

“

"We remain positive about the UK market which is home for us," Wenlock said. "Regionally and [in] London it is still full of opportunity, creativity and amazing talent."
