Broken noodles collected from the floor and reprocessed into bhujia, along with the sale of unlicensed products and other hygiene deficiencies, were discovered during an inspection by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) at a manufacturing unit in Ajmer. The food regulator has initiated enforcement action against CG Foods India Private Limited following the inspection at its facility located in the Roopangarh area.

Inspection Findings

During the visit, FSSAI officials identified several alleged violations of food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards. The company has been directed to cease production of Veg Bhujia namkeen products due to the lack of necessary approvals.

The inspection revealed that:

  • Broken noodles were collected from the floor and reprocessed into bhujia products without heat treatment.
  • Unlicensed bhujia variants, including products labeled as “Wai-Wai Mama” and “Wai-Wai Mama Punte,” were being manufactured in violation of the Food Safety and Standards Act.
