The board change at Mount Sinai Hospital comes amid ongoing scrutiny of its ties to Jeffrey Epstein. Glenn Dubin, a billionaire hedge fund manager and one of several Wall Street figures linked to Epstein, has resigned from the hospital's board of trustees. This decision follows reports that Mount Sinai formed a committee to review its longstanding connections to the late accused sex trafficker.
Background on Mount Sinai's Review
Mount Sinai, a leading medical provider in New York City, has been prominently mentioned in the Epstein files released by the Department of Justice. Notably, a Mount Sinai doctor reportedly treated a young Russian woman in Epstein's Upper East Side townhouse after she sustained injuries on his Caribbean island.
Dubin, who co-founded Highbridge Capital Management, served on the board since 2007 and held the position of vice-chair. His wife, Dr. Eva Andersson-Dubin, who previously dated Epstein, also stepped down from the board of Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine earlier this year. The reasons for their departures remain unclear.
In a statement, Mount Sinai indicated that the Dubins' terms ended in the spring and that they did not seek re-election. The hospital has not disclosed whether its review of Epstein-related ties has concluded or if it influenced the Dubins' decision to leave.
Statements from the Dubins
A spokesperson for the Dubins stated, "Had they been aware of Epstein’s vile and unspeakable conduct, they would have cut off all ties long ago and certainly never allowed him to be in the presence of their children." Despite their resignation, the couple was still listed as members of the hospital’s boards in May 2025 during a journal marking the hospital's anniversary. However, their names were absent from the list in the journal for the 41st annual Crystal Party held in May 2026.
