The Walt Disney Company has announced significant price increases for its streaming services, Disney+ and Hulu, marking the fourth price hike for Disney+ in four years. As of today, the ad-free plan for Disney+ is now more expensive than Netflix's offerings.

Price Increases

  • Disney+ and Hulu standalone, ad-free plans have increased by 13 percent, from $19 per month to $21.50 per month.
  • The standalone plans with ads have risen from $12 to $12.50.
  • Bundled services have also seen price hikes:
    • The Disney+ and Hulu bundle without ads has increased from $20/month to $22/month.
    • The bundle with ads remains at $13.
    • The Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Select bundles with ads have increased from $20 to $22, and without ads from $29 to $33.
  • Monthly subscription prices for Hulu + Live, which includes cable channels, have gone up by $10.

For comparison, Netflix currently charges $9/month with ads and starts at $20/month without ads, with a premium ad-free plan available for $27/month that includes features like 4K.
