Southern Nazarene University (SNU) announced on Thursday that Tyler Ulrich, a sophomore safety, has died at the age of 21. His passing comes five days after he sustained a “traumatic injury” during a football game against Ouachita Baptist.

Incident Details

Ulrich was injured during a game on Saturday, which ended in a 49-14 loss for SNU. The game was delayed for nearly an hour as he received medical attention on the field before being transported to a hospital.
