Three men drowned while swimming in a creek in the Retibunder area of Thane on Sunday afternoon, according to civic officials. The deceased have been identified as Alam Syed (42), Rizwan Syed (42), and Sahil Polandas (30), all residents of Thakurpada in Mumbra. The trio misjudged the depth of the water and drowned near the Ganesh Visarjan Ghat along the Mumbai-Nashik Highway. Their bodies were recovered by 4:20 PM, approximately an hour after the emergency alert was received.
Prime Minister Modi's Visit to Uzbekistan
Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a warm welcome from Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the Kuksaroy Presidential Palace in Tashkent.
