The Ministry of Railways has approved a new Vande Bharat Express train service connecting Gujarat with Rajasthan. This semi-high-speed train will operate between Surat and Udaipur and will be maintained by the Western Railway (WR) zone.
New Train Service Details
In a letter dated August 31, the Railway Board informed the General Managers (Operating) of Western Railway and North Western Railway about the approval for the introduction of the 26903/26904 Surat-Udaipur City Vande Bharat Express.
Discontinuation of Existing Service
Alongside the new service, the Railway Board has also approved the discontinuation of the 26963/26964 Udaipur City-Asarva Vande Bharat Express. This train was introduced in February 2026 and currently operates six days a week, excluding Tuesdays.
