Asserting that every day of war sets humanity back, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a message of peace to Russian President Vladimir Putin during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
““We must move from endless wars to ending wars,” PM Modi stated, referencing the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. He emphasized that resolving “all issues through peaceful means is humanity’s call.”
“India supports all efforts towards peace,” Modi added, highlighting the importance of diplomatic resolutions.
Discussions on India-Russia Partnership
The Prime Minister noted that he had extensive discussions with President Putin, covering the full range of the India-Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership. Modi expressed satisfaction with the significant progress made across various sectors in recent years.
