Unidentified miscreants exploded a bomb at the private residence of BJP MLA Sapam Ranjan Singh in Konthoujam Mayai Leikai, located in Imphal West district of Manipur, in the early hours of Friday. Fortunately, no one was injured in the blast.

Incident Details

The explosion occurred around 1:30 am while the MLA was present at his residence. The bomb detonated in the backyard, creating a small crater and causing minor damage to the walls of the compound.

Police Response

In response to the incident, police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. Following the blast, Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh visited the MLA’s residence.
