The Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA) has announced its support for a citizens' march scheduled for next week, commemorating the first anniversary of the deaths of four civilians during a protest in Leh last September.

Organized by the Socialist Party of India alongside various civil and political organizations, the march will take place on September 10, traveling from Kargil to Leh. The event aims to renew calls for statehood for Ladakh and the implementation of the Sixth Schedule, among other pressing concerns.

KDA's Commitment

During a meeting on Monday, KDA leaders, including co-chairman Asgar Ali Karbalai, reaffirmed their commitment to a "peaceful and democratic" struggle for the constitutional and legitimate rights of the Ladakhi people.
