During his Mann Ki Baat radio address on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called on the youth to engage in "creative efforts" to support the national campaign against drug abuse, particularly on social media. He emphasized that drug addiction affects not just individuals but their families and society as a whole, commending those who raise awareness and assist individuals struggling with addiction.
“"Can you come up with a powerful slogan for a drug-free India? Can our young musicians create songs that convey the message of a drug-free life? Can students and theatre groups write touching short plays that highlight the dangers of drugs while also showing the path to recovery?"
Modi urged content creators to produce material in various languages to aid this cause, stating, "You can use your creativity as a medium for social change… Often, creative efforts prove more impactful than formal campaigns. Let us all play our part in this noble mission to keep India’s youth away from drugs and free from addiction." He encouraged the use of the hashtag #NashaMuktYuva when sharing related content on social media.

Acknowledging Innovative Efforts
The 137th episode of Mann Ki Baat began with Modi appreciating Krishna Seshadri, a Mumbai resident, for his initiative to bridge technology and history through the website bharatrajya.com. Modi praised Seshadri for “re-living history now,” noting that the site helps people learn about India’s great empires in an engaging manner.
