L'Oreal is experiencing significant growth in its India business, driven by enhanced team capabilities, increased localization, and a surge in demand for haircare and skincare products. Nicolas Hieronimus, the global CEO of L'Oreal, noted that the company is witnessing a "great turnaround" in India, particularly in its consumer products division, which recorded double-digit growth in the September quarter.

Strong Growth in Emerging Markets

In its latest earnings update, L'Oreal highlighted that its emerging markets, especially Brazil and India, have delivered impressive growth in the professional products segment. The SAPMENA-SSA region, which includes South Asia Pacific, the Middle East, North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa, reported an adjusted like-for-like growth of 19.2% in the third quarter of 2026. Hieronimus emphasized that India and Indonesia are key contributors to this growth, particularly in haircare and skincare.

“

"India, where I was just a couple of weeks ago, is doing a great turnaround there, both in terms of teams' quality. We create for India much more than we did before," said Hieronimus during the earnings call.

Expanding Online Commerce and Skincare Brands

L'Oreal is accelerating its online commerce strategy, focusing on quick commerce to meet the growing demand for specialized skincare products. The company is expanding its skincare brands, CeraVe and La Roche-Posay, into new cities across India.
