Facebook has announced a new feature called "Your Algorithm" that allows users to have greater control over the content appearing in their feeds. Launched on Tuesday, this AI-powered tool enables users to express their preferences in natural language, influencing the content they see in both Feed and Reels.
User Control Over Content
Unlike traditional automated recommendations, users can now communicate directly with Facebook about the topics and types of content they wish to see more or less frequently. According to Meta, the feature aims to enhance the relevance of content recommendations.
Real-Time Adjustments
Users can adjust their preferences and see changes reflected in their recommendations in real time. The updated three-dot menu on Facebook makes it easier for users to manage their content preferences directly from individual posts. By accessing this menu, users can utilize "Your Algorithm" or select options like "Interested" and "Not interested" to indicate their content preferences.
