Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey has accused both the Congress and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) of neglecting the interests of tribal communities in Jharkhand, attributing this to vote bank politics. Dubey made these remarks during a press interaction in Deoghar on October 28, 2024.

Allegations Against Political Rivals

Dubey stated that the rise in the Muslim population in Santhal Pargana is linked to Bangladeshi infiltrators, claiming that the Muslim population has increased from 9 percent in 1951 to 24 percent today. He noted that while the national Muslim population has risen by 4 percent, Santhal Pargana has seen an increase of 15 percent, attributing 11 percent of this growth to infiltrators from Bangladesh.

"Due to vote-bank politics, neither the Congress nor the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha are concerned about the tribals. Until Bangladeshi infiltrators are sent back, the Bharatiya Janata Party will not sit peacefully. This is not the issue of the election, this is the national issue," Dubey stated.
